Hurricane frequency has been decreasing since 1950, contradicting the alarmist’s claims of global warming – has it increased because of that?

Extreme weather events, such as tropical cyclones, are expected to intensify and become more frequent as the world warms, global warming alerters love to declare as they try sow panic and anxiety. They say this is strongly supported by science and so humanity is facing dire consequences unless the burning of fossil fuels is stopped immediately.
Let’s use scientific data on storms in the Pacific today to see if the alarmists’ claims are true. These data are provided by the famous Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). It is certain that hurricanes must increase in frequency year after year since temperatures have increased in the 20th century.
First, we look at the number of hurricanes that have occurred in September, since 1951:

Please note, the trend in storm frequency in September has increased and therefore, alarmists must be accurate. Science solved!
But not that fast. First, if we ignore the 1950s, the above trend should be fairly steady, if not slightly down. Second, only checking for a month doesn’t really say much.
Downtrend
So, next, we look at the data for the entire January-September period for each year since 1951:

Over the entire nine-month period per year, we find that the number of hurricanes that occur has been on a downward trend over the past seven decades. The warming of the planet during this particular time period has not resulted in much Pacific storm activity. In contrast, warming appears to be slowing storm formation in the Pacific.
That’s good news, but you’ll never hear it from alarmist climate hoaxes. They just want you to believe their fantasies and not look at hard facts.
Storm trends are just more “Inconvenient Facts” that climate scam alarmists don’t want the public to know.
