The past few years have been especially challenging for everyone working in healthcare. We have all seen the damage the pandemic takes and continue to suffer from those who give and receive the care we provide. We need to treat ourselves and others well.
Interacting with the people we work with is more important than ever. We can do this by continuing to build and strengthen meaningful relationships. As care continues to move towards a holistic approach, we are also moving towards a culture of inclusion for our care providers.
I’m grateful that a number of people have reached out with questions and ideas on how to build a sustainable, evidence-based culture. As I write in my new book, “The Call: Why Healthcare is So Special,” the key is to create a culture of complementarity.
