How to give your landscape photos a painterly look
Landscape photography often requires an above-average amount of post-processing to get the final result, but the flip side of that is that you can take a single shot in a variety of creative directions. Coming to you from Nigel DansonThis awesome video tutorial will show you how to create a textured look in landscape photos using Lightroom and Photoshop. One thing I’ve noticed about a lot of artist photos is that they’re often taken in the woods, often with fog, as opposed to a broader view of the sun’s rays spreading across the landscape. This produces flatter, more diffused light, which is often a bit more flexible in terms of the different directions you can take in post-processing, so this is the ideal essence of the technique. . And luckily, it’s not too difficult to create this style. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Danson.
