With over 200 integrations, Asana makes task management a walk in the park. It has a very flexible workspace that allows for cross-team collaboration with a number of tools for both small, medium and large businesses. Asana provides a workspace that allows for the management of multiple projects that can be assigned to different team members. However, there are some tasks without classification that leave team members out of context and can lead to longer project times.

For faster project progress, Asana allows users to create, edit, and add tags to tasks. In addition, you can also manage tags for recurring tasks, add comments, edit or remove irrelevant tags, and ensure that every project is done ahead of time.

How to add cards in Asana

For the free version of Asana, Cards allow you to add fields to your quests. This is different from the paid version which allows you to use custom fields. Custom fields allow you to add small descriptions to your tasks. Tags come in handy in both the free and paid versions if you need more fields and descriptions to categorize your tasks.

What are some ways you can use the Asana Card?

Do you know how often project management meetings use colored notes to identify different aspects of a project? This is also the case with the cards in Asana. Whenever you create a tag, the next pop-up will let you choose a color for that tag. When choosing colors, make sure that team members understand what each color means. This makes it easy to scan through projects while keeping everything organized.

Here are some examples of how to use the Asana card.

Content strategy organization

After using Asana to build a content strategy, tags make it easy to identify content that’s published, edited, pending, or completed. You can also color-code content that needs to be revisited in the future. There are some other ways to use tags in this case and one way is to define the type of each asset..

Identify key goals

You can use tags to identify every main quest. Tags in Asana categorize tasks and make it easy for stakeholders to find tasks associated with a goal. These tags become searchable keywords that are used to pull up any tasks related to that keyword for easy access and overview.
