- Internal zoom mechanism and internal zoom and focus design to maintain good balance when using the gimbal
- Linear AF system for smooth and quiet autofocusing and Smooth-motion optics to minimize focus breathing, both for video applications
- Three aspherical and one ED element for less distortion and better sharpness
- Two ED elements for reduced chromatic aberrations and greater clarity
- Round diaphragm for more pleasing bokeh
