Dany’s grasp of purpose begins to crumble when she falls in love with Jon Snow, who she later discovers is also her nephew and has a claim to the Iron Throne. Granted, that would mess anyone up, but after all Daenerys had endured, her reaction seemed out of the ordinary. See Dragon’s Houseone just hopes Rhaenyra doesn’t do anything like that.
Hope, as Corly Velaryon says, is the fool’s ally – but she probably won’t. At the end of Sunday’s finale, she learned her son, Lucerys had died on the dragon’s back. In that moment, her eyes turned to the camera, and it was clear that all thoughts of peace were gone. But unlike Dany’s capture of King’s Landing, Rhaenyra’s plan of revenge is at the heart of King’s Landing. Fire & Blood, something on the page, not the end of a program looking for its conclusion. Her fate is already written; What would be the problem if Dragon’s House follow it.
