Honda HR-V raises prices for 2023 in Malaysia – up RM1,100 for all four variants, now from RM 115,900
With the Ringgit weakening, the price of everything will go up is inevitable and new cars are no exception. In January, Honda Malaysia said they no price increase at the start of the year, despite ‘challenging’ conditions. Seven months later, it seems the company has finally decided that the inevitable can no longer be postponed.

The price list for the SUV was leaked via a social media post earlier this evening for saw a slight price increase for the model, consistent across the entire range. Released in July last yearThere are four variants – with three powertrains – on sale here.
The first is the base 1.5LS version, equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine. Now it has a price RM115,900, up RM1,100 from RM114,800 when it was introduced last year. A gain of RM1,100 is also found on all subsequent models on the higher line.
As such, the 1.5L Turbo E is currently retailing for RM130,900 (formerly RM129,800), while the 1.5 Turbo V costs RM135,900 (formerly, RM134,800). Meanwhile, the flagship e:HEV RS hybrid is now available for RM141,900 (formerly, RM140,800). All prices are on-road prices, excluding insurance and these are prices for standard exterior colors. If you want the car in the premium Pearl White color, you have to pay an extra RM600, which applies to all variants.
There are no mechanical changes or any modifications anywhere else (features, toolkits) for that matter. Regarding the powertrain, the S version has a DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine, naturally aspirated, with a capacity of 1.5 liters as on the City, providing a capacity of 121 hp and 145 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm. The E and V grades are powered by a 1.5 liter VTEC Turbo engine that produces 181 hp and 240 Nm of torque delivered between 1,700 and 4,500 rpm.
As for the RS, its e:HEV hybrid powertrain includes a 1.5-liter Atkinson cycle petrol engine, naturally aspirated, with 107 hp and 131 Nm of torque. The mill works as a generator, but can be driven directly at higher speeds, which for the front electric drive motor produces 131 hp and 253 Nm of torque.
