After a two-year postponement, the much-anticipated MSF Touge Hillclimb 2022 will take place this Sunday weekend at Bukit Putus, Negeri Sembilan. Located just outside Seremban, the 3km Bukit Putus road will be the go-to spot for fans of Malaysia’s debauched motorsports.

Practice sessions begin at 10:15 a.m. with timing sessions taking place after lunch at 2:00 p.m. The Service Park will be at the StarFresh Agro Park located at the entrance to Bukit Putus and spectators can park there to watch the start line.

The event was heavily discussed on local social media, with many inspired driving and racing enthusiasts participating due to the prevalence of the ‘Touge’ culture. Touge, a Japanese word for “crossing the mountain” and featured in the anime and manga series “Initial D”, refers to cars racing up and down hills and mountains along roads. public at the end of the hour.

“A lot of excitement is generated by this event on social media and we are expecting some pretty spectacular and legendary ‘crazy’ cars and drivers on the track,” Adian said. “We are breaking new ground with this event, our primary concern is the safety of both riders and spectators as we want to demonstrate that a such an event can be safely played out. The aim is to make this a recurring event, maybe 2-3 times a year,” added Adian.
