For those of you who love to run, Hennessey is here with a Venom F5 mounted on a taxiway. However, this short video is not about the car, but about the 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which has been nicknamed “Fury”. The forged steel block is paired with aluminum pistons, heads and intake manifolds. This system and other ancient gear work together to produce a maximum power output of 1,817 horsepower at 8,000 rpm, just 200 rpm shorter than the redline, and 1,193 pounds of peak torque. -feet at 5,500 rpm, with at least 1,000 of those available from 2,000 to 8,000 rpm. Most importantly, this is the engine that Hennessey will use to try and hit 300 mph.
If doing so is only a matter of ponies, then the Texas regulator should cover the sheath. Venom is about 200 hp higher Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+, broke three tons, and Koenigsegg Jesko but also longing. On top of that, the Venom F5, at 2,998 pounds, is 1,363 pounds heavier than Bugatti, 133 pounds less than Jesko. Regardless of what happens at the far end of the speedometer, specs like a 0-62 mph time announced as under 3 seconds and a 0-124 mph time under 5 seconds will be safe bet. The handling will also not be overlooked, with the reputation GM Engineers John Heinricy is logged in to help regulate the driving dynamics of the car.
We’re still waiting to see the whole car go out to testing, which is going to happen, if it hasn’t already. There will be 24 hardtops coming soon, 12 for the US and 12 overseas, each priced at around $1.6 million.
