No doubt, the algorithm has been tremendously frustrating for many creatives, but the fact of the matter is that it has been here for several years now and is unlikely to go anywhere soon (or probably ever). As far as things you can control, however, as Choucino points out, most content on the platform, no matter how technically apt, still falls into line with the mass of things we are used to seeing constantly, and as such, viewers tend to tune it out, even if they do not mean to. Part of the trick is simply learning to post things that stand out from the crowd and instantly capture the viewer’s attention. That might mean that some of your work might not make the cut, but Instagram is just one of several outlets, and you can always post that other work elsewhere.
