Have you linked your Aadhaar card to your PAN? If not, then you have to pay double penalty!

The last day of the PAN-Aadhaar link has been extended, but the bad news is that you have to pay a bigger penalty now! Know how to link your PAN-Aadhaar IDs and pay late fines online.

Have you linked your PAN card and Aadhaar card? If not, know that the last day of the Aadhaar-PAN link is June 30th! Well, there’s good and bad news for you. According to the circular issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), the deadline for linking your PAN to Aadhaar has been extended, but an opportunity is still open for those who have missed their ID link. CBDT has extended the Aadhaar-PAN association deadline to March 31, 2023. After that, those with a PAN that are not affiliated with Aadhaar will become “inactive”.

That means you still have time until March 31 next year to do PAN-Aadhaar linking, but there are a few things you need to know – if not linking your Aadhaar card to your PAN card, now you will be fined up to Rs. 1,000 for the late link. This is more than double what users pay by June 30, 2022. If you haven’t linked Aadhaar to your PAN card, know how you will have to pay the penalty for late linking.
