Here’s everything you need to know about Carnival Cruise Line’s Alchemy Bar (including its menu).
What is Carnival’s Alchemy Bar?
Alchemy Bar is designed like a pharmacy from ancient times. The venue’s classic pharmacy theme is reflected in the bar’s accessories like apothecary jars, old-fashioned wooden drawers and mixologists wearing lab coats.
The rustic leather-wrapped cocktail menu features a list of “remedies” and “miracle elixirs” made from various herbs and plants.
If you don’t see something you like on the menu — or have tried everything on it — no problem. Share a few “likes” of your cocktail and your Alchemy Bar mixologist will “prescribe” something just for you.
Alchemy Bar usually opens at 4pm on pick-up and port days. On beach days, it opens at 2 p.m. There are no official closing hours, but it is often open past midnight.
Carnival Alchemy Bar’s menu
You won’t find frozen drinks here. Freshly crafted plant-based drinks are a highlight at Alchemy Bar. The Cucumber Sunrise (a fan favorite) made with vodka, fresh lime juice, watermelon nectar and mixed cucumber is definitely worth a try. Plus, Quick Fix, with vodka, gin, rum, Midori liqueur, Pernod absinthe and Sprite, will cure all your ills.
You can also enjoy mocktails at Alchemy Bar. The festival offers seven classic cocktails handcrafted with Lyre’s Spiced Cane, Agave Blanco, White Cane and Dry London non-alcoholic spirits.

Enjoy a refreshing Seduction Martini, made with Lyre’s White Cane, red passion fruit nectar, fresh lime juice and a hint of orange. Spicy Chipotle Pineapple Martini features Lyre’s Agave Blanco, handcrafted chipotle pineapple syrup, pineapple juice and mint leaves.
The Remedy, Hearts of Fire, Restorative Basil Drop, The Perfect Storm and Cucumber Sunrise cocktails are also alcohol-free.
How much do drinks cost at Alchemy Bar?
Cocktails at Alchemy Bar cost $14 for alcoholic drinks and $10 for non-alcoholic drinks. Drinks from the Alchemy Bar menu are included in the Carnival Cheers drink package.

Cucumber sunrise festival recipe
Cucumber Sunrise is probably my favorite Alchemy Bar cocktail. Fresh and light, it tastes like a vacation in a glass. It’s made with Belvedere vodka, fresh lime juice, Monin watermelon syrup and orange juice and topped with cucumber cake.
