Modern cameras are small marvels of technology, with capabilities that even a decade ago, we might not have dreamed of. And while they are great tools to have, it’s important to remember that they’re still the means, not the end. To help prove that point, this great video shows that you can still create compelling images with even the cheapest cameras.

Without a doubt, it is amazing what we can do with modern camera bodies and lenses, they make our lives easier, produce higher quality images and even allow takes pictures that might not be possible, but we often rely on them a little too much, sometimes to the point that we let our creativity and technique fall to the curb. That’s when going back to bare basics can really be beneficial, as it removes any crutches and forces us to focus on the real elements of a quality photo: composition, lighting, and more. lighting, poses and more.
