Gran Turismo players! The July update for Gran Turismo 7 is out today, July 27 at 11 p.m. PDT* (June 27 at 7 a.m. BST / 3 p.m. JST).
Nissan Skyline Super Silhouette Group 5 ’84
An extraordinary Skyline that stood out in the races of the 1980s.
The Skyline Super Silhouette is one of the most iconic cars in the series, with a look that’s far from ordinary. Sporting with a chin spoiler that extends forward of the car almost tearing the runway, fenders are extended to the extreme at both front and rear, combined with the large rear spoiler, it powered by a 2.1 liter 4-cylinder turbocharged racing engine named LZ20B. Regularly spewing flames from the exhaust located just below the left door, it was an awe-inspiring presence on the track that completely fascinates car enthusiasts and racing fans of the time.
Maserati A6GCS / 53 Spyder ’54
A beautifully neat 2-seater sports car that has won the Gran Turismo Trophy.
Every August in the US, the most beautiful cars from all history are gathered to attend the world famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The 2014 winner of the Gran Turismo Trophy, just one of the prizes available, was the Maserati A6GCS / 53 Spyder, chassis number 2078. A6 is the name for a series of six-motor racing bikes developed by Maserati since 2005. 1947 to 1956 GCS, for motorsport championships, began to resemble two-seat versions of classic cigar-shaped grand prix cars. However, after the regulations changed in 1953, some bodybuilders began to tailor their tubular frames.
Porsche 918 Spyder ’13
This super sports car is a reinterpretation of the glorious Carrera GT as a plug-in hybrid.
The Porsche 918 Spyder is a supercar introduced by Porsche in 2011. It is the successor to the Carrera GT, limited to 918 units. The most notable feature of the car is that it is actually a plug-in hybrid. A 4.6L 599 BHP V8 based on the RS Spyder race car engine is mounted in midship with a single electric motor aft, resulting in a total system output of 873 BHP. This incredible performance when combined with the optional Weissach Package allows the car to hit 62.1 mph in 2.6 seconds, 124.3 mph in 7.2 seconds and 186.4 mph in now in just 19.9 seconds. Billed as having a top speed of 214.4 mph, it can set a lap time of 6:57 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
