Graded stakes winner Tamahere , a 4-year-old daughter of Wootton Bassett , is the latest supplement to the Fasig-Tipton November Sale. Cataloged as hip 273, she will be consigned as a racing/broodmare prospect by ELiTE, agent.
Tamahere began her career in her native France, where she was stakes-placed at 2 and a stakes winner at 3, taking the Prix la Sorellina by 7 1/2 lengths. She was sent to the United States for her next start, easily winning her stateside debut in the Sands Point Stakes (G2T) at Belmont Park. This 12 months at age 4 she received the Violet Stakes at Monmouth Park for house owners Swift Thoroughbreds, Madaket Stables, and Marvel Stables. The Chad Brown trainee additionally completed second within the Coolmore Jenny Wiley Stakes (G1T), overwhelmed two lengths by Juliet Foxtrot . Following a sixth-place finish in the Noble Damsel Stakes (G3T) Oct. 23 at Belmont Park, she has earnings of $306,466.
