Ghostwire Tokyo Dog Breeding Leads to Rewards
There is an update on what the dogs in Ghostwire Tokyo capable in the game. A new video shows Akito interacting with Shiba Inu. After taking care of the dog, they will mine some in-game currency for it.
Here is the video. It shows how Akito can really understand what the dogs are saying in Ghostwire Tokyo. Talking to this dog and feeding them dog food from a convenience store, it led them to Meika.

This is not the only type of interaction available. Transparent an actual preview, a dog appeared. When Akito was walking through the city, he got agitated and barked when facing an alley. This serves as a warning that there is a Visitor, so the player can be on guard and ready to attack.
We also know that it is possible to breed dogs in the game. There are even a video of Akito stroking a person.
Ghostwire: Tokyo will come to PS5 and PC on March 25, 2022. Those who get the Deluxe Edition will get early access on March 22, 2022.
