Gentari launches 60 kW DC charger at Hotel Perdana, Kota Bharu, Kelantan in partnership with PNB

Gentari came up with a 60 kW DC charger at Perdana hotel in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, making it the first publicly accessible 24/7 DC charger in Kelantan. Kelantan has previously offered two DC chargers but both are located in car showrooms that are not accessible 24/7.

The charger is also the first to be launched in partnership with PNB, which will install a total of 59 chargers across PNB’s 18 properties by the end of 2023.

The 60 kW charger costs RM1.4 per minute of use. It has dual guns, so if a single EV is using it, it can deliver up to 60 kW. Note, however, that this will drop to 30 kW per gun if two EVs are using it, but the charge per EV will remain the same at RM1.40 per minute.

Complementing the 60 kW charger are two AC chargers with capacities of 11 kW and 22 kW. Both AC chargers cost RM 0.15 per minute.

To use the charger, you need to download the Setel or JomCharge app. If you haven’t downloaded Setel yet, we would appreciate it if you could use our referral code “5h9f3”

Along with the launch, Hotel Perdana Kota Bharu will be giving away a free cup of coffee and croissant to EV users who charge their car at the hotel. This promotional offer will last for 2 months from its launch on April 9.

Further rollout at PNB properties will take place at Villea Rompin Resort & Golf in Kuala Rompin, Pahang, Plaza Pelangi, Pelangi Leisure Mall and Perling Mall in Johor Bahru, Johor, Menara PNB in Kuala Lumpur and 12 other business establishments.
