At first glance, Wednesday Addams isn’t someone you’d want to consider a Gen Z icon. With her disgust for human connection, there are endless reasons why she still sees herself as a loner. poison outcast in a school that does that mean for the outcasts. Atwood isn’t wrong about traditional teen fashion. The screen portraits of my generation are largely filled with messy prints, beaded phone cases, and a penchant for color. ItIt’s not that I’m surprised Wednesdaytheir success, as Burton created a new world for the Addams family that it seemed impossible not to be enchanted with. It’s that we’re used to seeing characters in shows like Happiness and The sex life of college girls making impactful stylistic connections with younger audiences, and Wednesdays can feel a bit out of place. Before this series was released, I initially thought that such a sickly-looking character wouldn’t quite resonate with the masses as much as it already has, but I have never been happier to be proven wrong.
