It’s rare in the age of social media—when, if you follow the right people, you can spot a trend from a mile away—for a fad to actually sneak up on you. Usually, the signs are there. But in the case of trousersit took all but a few weeks for the once “frugal” computers to go from obsolete to one of Fall’s most sought-after wardrobe items. These days, they are everywhere.
