Fujitsu claims to have developed a quantum computer simulator capable of processing 36-qubit quantum circuits on a cluster system featuring the company’s PRIMEHPC FX 700 supercomputer, equipped with the same CPU that powers the company. power for the world’s fastest supercomputer, Fugaku.
According to Fujitsu, the quantum emulator consists of 64 nodes on the PRIMEHPC FX 700 and can execute the Qualacs quantum simulation software in parallel at high speed, achieving approximately twice the performance of other similar machines. from companies like IBM and Intel.
Fujitsu adds that it has further developed a method that allows for efficient reordering of qubit states deployed in distributed memory on a cluster according to the progression of the quantum circuit.
