Live update of the semi-final second leg of the French Open 2022: Alexander Zverev appears to have sprained his ankle while trying to beat Rafael Nadal in the second set of the 2022 French Open semi-finals underway at Court Philippe-Chatrier in Paris. Earlier, Rafael Nadal had the first set with a score of 7-6 (10-8) against Alexander Zverev. Before that, Nadal came back 2-4 to lower the first set with a score of 7-6 (10-8) after equalizing. However, Nadal beat Zverev before the first match started with a tie-break. Both players destroyed each other in the tie-break but in the end Nadal was leading 1-0. Nadal, who has beaten Nadal 13 times, will pick up momentum from the quarter-finals, where he beat world number one Novak Djokovic. Nadal, who is celebrating his 36th birthday today, will look to claim his record-long 14th title at Roland Garros. Zverev, on the other hand, was defeated at a similar stage last season. The 25-year-old beat Carlos Alcaraz Garfia in the previous round, and will only reach the second slam final. Later today, eighth seed Casper Ruud will face Marin Cilic in the remaining semifinal.
