The free government offer during the 2023 Lunar New Year travel period will end at 23:59 tonight.
This is a reminder that if you pass through a toll station after the deadline, you will be charged the full amount for your journey, even though you started your journey during the free period.
If you’re on the highway and can’t reach your destination before the free period ends, you can simply exit the nearest interchange before the 11:59pm deadline and re-enter the highway. That way, you’ll only have to pay tolls for the rest of your journey.
Of course, this does not apply to highways that do not use an entry and exit point system. For all other highways, just make sure you pass the toll booth before the 11:59pm deadline.
While you won’t need to pay tolls during these two days, you’ll still need to use your Touch ‘n Go card, SmartTAG card, and RFID tag as usual because the barrier will still work.
