After receiving all necessary approvals, Fort Erie . Racetrack announced the closing date has been rescheduled for racing reasons to 2022. The last race day of the year will be held on Monday, October 24, starting at 12:25pm. The event will also be Fort Erie’s fan appreciation day. Fans will receive free Fort Erie programs and prizes will be awarded between races.
There will also be a mandatory payout of over $11,000 in the hi5 Jackpot during the final race on Monday.
Fort Erie canceled the race on Tuesday, October 18 for the safety of the horses and riders, when persistent rain made the track unfavorable in racing conditions.
