These bargain deals to Amsterdam are only available on basic economy fares. Delta’s basic economy doesn’t allow passengers to change tickets, receive refunds, or choose seats. Keep in mind that there may be differences between prices advertised on Google Flights and prices on airlines’ websites due to the availability of third-party booking sites. In this case, Google lists the price of the return flight between New York and Amsterdam as $447 because of the option to book a slightly cheaper fare on a third-party booking site. Still, the fares on Delta’s website are still a substantial bargain and a more reliable way to book flights than third-party options.

While basic economy class has no perks and can feel inconvenient for longer flights, fares are still hard to beat. The price of $472 for a flight between New York and Amsterdam is considered low; flights on this route typically cost between $700 and $1,500, according to Google Flights.
