FIM MiniGP World Series Results
FIM MiniGP Australia’s top two riders Harrison Watts and Teerin Fleming had an eye-opening experience in Valencia for the FIM MiniGP World Series.
The boys raced against two top riders from 16 different countries and learned a lot in two days. 32 riders from around the world have ridden at an extreme level, giving the boys an unbelievable opportunity to learn and compete with the best.
Australian FIM MiniGP winner Watts made good progress over two days, closing the gap with the leaders in every ride before finishing qualifying races at P15 and P11.
Harry is delighted to be back in Australia and will work to improve his skills and technique next season to better prepare for the future. Harry’s highlight is “There’s Jack Miller coming into the box and talking to me like a normal person, even though he’s one of the best racers in the world.“
Teerin Fleming made some big strides in the race meeting, improving on each outing and finishing the first qualifying race in P14 and the second in the really strong P6 race.
Teerin has learned a lot and is motivated to implement these knowledge into training in his home country and build for next season.
Teerin ended the race meeting by saying he learned “What a wonderful European level and riding style“And that”the second qualifying race was my highlight in the event, I tried my best and got the sixth place.“
Although the young Australian players did not make it through to the final races, they have learned a lot. Nick Angelopoulos of FIM MiniGP Australia is also keen to implement what he has learned at the event to help promote young Australian talent to join the FIM MiniGP Australia Series next year.

After their race was complete, Watts and Fleming watched the main finale with the rest of the starry crowd. They saw Gabriel Fabio Vuono of FIM MiniGP Italy crowned champion in 2022.
One last race
Despite starting P9, Japan’s Seiryu Ikegami set the fastest lap and put on a superb performance to win, as Fynn Kratochwil and Final Champion Gabriel Fabio Vuono took P2 and Finals respectively. P3.
The second final race
Vuono came off pole and caught a great beat in the second final, as 2021 Champion Izan Rodriguez joined the Italian at the front – but Vuono retained the Championship lead in the Race Super last. Kratochwil fills the role in the second stanza as the man who gets his second podium of the day, putting him in a great position to fight for the 2022 crown.
Ultimate Super Race
With the double points offered in the Ultimate Super Race, any of the fields can be crowned the 2022 FIM MiniGP World Champion. As expected, an extraordinary race has taken place. took place in a confrontation that lasted 19 laps and all reached the final corner between Kratochwil and Vuono – whoever wins, due to double points, will be crowned champion.
Kratochwil took the lead into the final corner but after losing shape in the input, the German driver then lost his way behind on exit. Somehow, Kratochwil made a remarkable save to stay in his Ohvale. However, the mistake allowed Vuono to pass and win the run to the 0.070 second line, which saw the Italian take the crown.
Kratochwil’s second-place finish ensured he secured a silver medal, as Qabil Irfan of the FIM MiniGP Malaysia Series took P3 in the final race of the day after winning two consecutive P5s in the Race Race 1 and Race 2.
Third place overall went to Ikegami after finishing his P4 in the Ultimate Super Race combined with his win in the opening leg.
