FFXIV trust system update coming after patch 6.1

Square Enix is planning an update FFXIV System trust in the following patches 6.1. The update will add Trust compatibility for all major scenario dungeons and four-player trials. Furthermore, other low level dungeons and trails will also be improved later on. However, 8-player dungeons won’t be updated until after 7.0.

The update is part of Square Enix’s ongoing mission to make it happen FFXIV more attractive to solo players. The Trust system allows players to participate in dungeons and experiments using NPCs instead of other players, eliminating the need for queues. Director and producer Naoki Yoshida announced the news in a recent FFXIV letter from the producer live.

Improvements will start with patch 6.1, which will make A realm of rebirth compatible trust scripting tasks. Various improvements will be made throughout patches from 6.1 to 6.5. Standard task queues will not be affected. Yoshida stated that while the team also wanted to add Trust compatibility for 8-player dungeons, they were unable to do so in those patches due to schedule and budgetary reasons.

Additionally, Yoshida commented that players may want to include certain NPCs in certain key scenario battles. An example given is the battle of Nidhogg, where the player may want Estinien as the Trust NPC. Yoshida announced that the team will be modifying several key scenarios and cutscenes to justify these NPCs joining the fight. However, these changes will not be applied to all dungeons.

Final Fantasy XIV immediately available to play on PC, PS4 and PS5. The FFXIV Trust system updates will begin with patch 6.1, with further improvements released in version 7.0 and later.
