Fanatec CSL DD Base is a Sim racing bargain on sale for $200

In this rapidly growing online economy, transactions abound. I usually don’t pay attention to them. I just don’t have enough money for all the transactions, alI Right? But sometimes, there’s a deal that’s too good not to share, which even I consider myself. Today, that deal is everything you need to join the sim race with a Direct actuators from Fanatec $150 discount.

Nowadays, the Fanatec CSL DD is my go-to recommendation for sim racing wheel bases, because it is direct drive – which means it’s super smooth, precise, and natural feel — and it’s also very powerful for its compact footprint. The CSL DD usually costs $350 or $500 and comes with a Boost Kit 180 power supply, which increases torque from 5 Nm to 8 Nm. That 3 Nm makes a big difference; I recommend them.

Since June, Fanatec has had a promotion where the CSL DD itself is only $200 (or $300 with the Booster Kit) if you also buy it with the steering wheel and pedals. This is a reasonable proposition, as the steering wheel and pedals are said to be very important for simulation racing. Until this week, however, the promotion locked buyers into a certain rim and pedal combination. No more — customers are free to mix and match all of Fanatec’s equipment to build their dream rig and still receive those savings.

You can configure your own settings on Fanatec’s website, unfortunately, navigation is as fast as your healthcare provider’s automated phone system. For the sake of efficiency, this is entry-level CSL DD toolkit for PC and Xbox with standard CSL steering wheel for $400 before taxes and shipping. The 8 Nm version with Boost Kit is $500. If you want to pair that facility with a the formula wheel is more beautiful or a bolted load cell for the brake pedal, you can do that too; you will still get the discount.

There’s one downside to this promotion, and you’ve probably noticed it. CSL DD only supports PC and Xbox, well, box. That means if you like sim racing on PlayStation, maybe in Gran Turismo 7, it will cost significantly more. (Suggestion of dads mocking when it comes to GT7 and “racing sim” in the same sentence.)

See, for that you will need Set of Gran Turismo CSL DD Pro, starting at $700 and not eligible for the $150 discount. Shy. However, the PC gang or those eagerly looking forward to the new version Forza . sports car racing will be lucky. This is to make an expensive hobby a little less expensive.
