In November, Cardi B received a letter from Joe Goldberg.
“Hi, You… My stalking and killing may make me a certified freak, seven days a week, but it also brings me to…you,” it began. at the beginning, borrowed lyrics from the song “WAP” by Cardi B. “Cardi B, you have a way with social networks. You have meaning. Content. I just like you. You are authentic and nuanced… like you with your music. You keep me at your feet, that’s the rest, at least. You can’t be caged in, and that’s refreshing.”
The letter is the culmination of a social media love affair between Cardi and Penn Badgley in real life.
Cardi is such a fan of both Penn and the show that she come up with an idea for part four.
“So it’s episode 1 and I’m at Paris Fashion Week closing it! I turn around and stand there YOU. Ok ending it with @netflix,” she tweeted.
Sadly, even though Penn Badgley said Tonight’s reception they were “trying to make something happen”, it didn’t come together. Maybe in season 5?
