Elon Musk Announces Tesla AI Day Pushed To September 30 As The Company Is Working To Prepare The Optimus Prototype
On Thursday, Tesla Inc’s CEO Elon Musk said Tesla’s AI Day has been pushed to September 30.
“Tesla The AI date is pushed to September 30, as we may have a working Optimus prototype by then,” he wrote on Twitter, nearly two weeks after he announced August 19.

Optimus is a humanoid robot that Tesla is making research a priority. Musk previously said it could be launched next year.
“Ultimately, Optimus could solve the global labor shortage and in the short term be able to ship items around a factory,” Musk said in January.
This is Tesla’s second AI Day, the first being on August 19, 2021.

The use of AI in self-driving cars has stirred debate around safety issues, but Musk has often argued that such vehicles are much safer than those driven by humans.
Tesla is developing software so its cars can drive without human intervention or supervision, but its fully self-driving (FSD) system currently requires human supervision and does not require human supervision. aims to operate without a driver behind the wheel.
The company held its first AI Day last August and Battery Day in September 2020, where they talked about the future of battery technology.
