Eco Numpties is not satisfied with the cost of charging

Meanwhile, back at Eco-Land, the kids are not happy:
The cost of charging an electric car on the road has increased by nearly 60% in eight months, making it more expensive to run on long journeys than a petrol engine.
Fast charging points used by motorists to recharge on long journeys are now nearly £10 more expensive than refueling cars, analysis by motor agency RAC reveals.
Besides rising energy prices, a major reason behind this cost is that VAT is charged at 20% for public networks, compared to 5% for domestic energy use.
Charging electric cars at home is still much cheaper than buying gas tanks at pumping stations, but many drivers are unable to install chargers at home because there is no street parking.
It appeared when new gasoline and diesel cars were introduced due to being banned on British roads within a few years as the Government tries to reach net zero by 2050.
However, critics say the tax on public electric vehicle charging points is a threat to the Government’s ambitions.
Some believe that ministers are reluctant to take the “obvious” step of fixing VAT at 5% across the board because electric vehicles are seen as elitist.
The numties seem to have failed to realize that petrol car owners not only pay the 20% VAT on gasoline but also the fuel tax that the aforementioned numties will soon have to pay as well.
Maybe money grows on trees in Eco-Land!
