Dr. Noah Cohen Joins HISA Track Safety Committee
The Board of Directors of the Horseracing Safety and Integrity Authority elected Dr Noah Cohen to complete the remainder of Dr Paul Lunn’s term on the Track Safety Standing Committee upon Lunn’s return to the UK.
Cohen is the University Distinguished Professor and the Patsy Link Chair of Equestrian Studies in the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences.
“We are honored to have someone with such outstanding expertise in equine health and safety as Dr Cohen join the HISA Race Safety Committee,” said HISA CEO Lisa Lazarus. “His deep expertise and decades of experience will be critical to HISA’s efforts to make the race safer with solutions backed by data and research. As we redirecting program implementation in just a few short months, Dr. Cohen’s in-depth knowledge will be instrumental to HISA’s success and ongoing efforts to develop rules and regulations.”
