Dog saves baby’s life after repeatedly warning parents she’s not breathing
A family’s Boston Terrier is being hailed as a hero after he saved their child’s life.
Jeff and Kelly Dowling of Connecticut thought something was wrong with 8-year-old Henry, because he started acting strange.
While their 9-month-old baby slept in her nursery, Henry repeatedly opened the door by headbutting it and standing in it. Kelly became frustrated and repeatedly kicked him out of the room so he wouldn’t wake the baby, but Henry continued to enter the room.
Because Henry was so persistent, the Dowlings eventually entered the nursery to see why he was doing this. That’s when they discovered their baby was having trouble breathing.
Last night the dog kept breaking into the nursery and waking the baby. She was sick, and I was fed up with him.
Until she stopped breathing.
We spent the night in the hospital. I don’t know what will happen if you don’t wake her up. We don’t deserve dogs. pic.twitter.com/PBJCJVflgh

The baby, who already had a cold, started turning pale because he couldn’t clear his airway. They immediately took her to the hospital, thankfully they were able to get her breathing again.
If not for Henry’s quick wits and persistent efforts, their child might not have survived.
“I don’t know what would have happened if he hadn’t woken her up,” Kelly Written on Twitter. “We don’t deserve the dogs.”
Dowling says they’ll pamper Henry a little more now. They let him sleep in bed with them, and he’ll even get a steak in the near future.
