The arrival of Mighty Thor adds a third flying warrior to Marvel’s Avengers for new team coordination and new co-op play, bringing the roster to 11 playable heroes, including Spider-Man on just above PlayStation.
So what’s new in Jane’s story? In Marvel’s Avengers, Jane is torn from the alternate timeline due to a space-time rift caused by the Tachyon Anomalies. In the original timeline, Jane became the Goddess of Thunder when she took the cloak from Thor, who in grief abandoned Mjolnir after the tragedy of A-Day.
Jane Foster is voiced by talent Zehra Fazal, known for her work on video games and television. In addition to collectible information materials and character jokes, Mighty Thor’s story is also told through an in-game electric animation – Marvel’s Avengers – The Mighty Thor: Out of Time – illustrated by veteran Marvel artist Takeshi Miyazawa.
So how does Jane play? Mighty Thor possesses all the strength and power of a Thunder God, but to humans is all her own.
Jane’s unique talents with Mjolnir begin with her new passive All-Mother Blessing, and her new God Tempest, Overcharge. All-Mother Blessing builds its overload meter with melee attacks. Once full, she unleashes her God Tempest, which increases hammer damage at range and generates a shockwave with each hit.
Her dexterity with Mjolnir shows through a number of new features including Quick Fire, a new ranged attack combo that allows Mighty Thor to perform a more powerful ranged attack a second time by timing. her next throw. Upgrading Seek and Pin to Ranged Attack allows Mjolnir to find and pin enemies without aiming.
Jane’s pro control extends to melee attacks with Earth’s Finest, adding hammer throws to her light attack combos for extra reach. Jane also puts her own spin on classic Odinson moves like Headstrong. She relies on her Thunderkick – a brutal front kick – to knock enemies away.
Mighty Thor’s kit culminates in The All-Weapon, her brand new Ultimate Hero. Drawn from the pages of Thor and Valkyrie runs, Jane sends Mjolnir to seek out and destroy nearby enemy targets. Meanwhile, she summons All-Weapon Undrjarn to protect her, reducing all damage taken when fighting her enemies.
All-Weapon is full of special features and allows you to customize Mjolnir’s attacks, making them faster and imparting powerful shocks against surrounding enemies. Jane can even use Mjolnir as a personal orbital defense shield. Check out her performance in our most recent War Table Deep Dive below.
In addition to her amazing god-like fighting abilities, Jane also has a variety of Comic-inspired Outfits. She also boasts unique capes, emblems, nameplates, and her own Hero Challenge Card and quest sequence. These allow you to earn special rewards, including exclusive cosmetics and intel material that dives deeper into Jane’s story.
