Everything we know about the Friendship Festival update
When is the Disney Dreamlight Valley Friendship Festival update?
Casita, Olaf and Mirabel will appear in Disney Dreamlight Valley from February 16, 2023.
Updates were previously released at 9 a.m. ET. Here’s what that means in other time zones:
- PST: 06:00 Thursday, February 16
- GMT: 14:00 Thursday, February 16
- CET: 15:00 Thursday, February 16
- JST: 23:00 Thursday, February 16
- AEST: 00:00 Friday, February 17

What’s in the Disney Dreamlight Valley Friendship Festival update?
Here is everything that has been confirmed so far.
New character
- Mirabel (Encanto)
- Olaf (Frozen)
It’s still unclear how these two will be unlocked, although we do know that Mirabel’s quest will require finding Casita’s doorknob. Whether this opens up a new Kingdom or simply somewhere in town that already exists is unknown.
However, here’s a sneak peek at Olaf:

We know that Casita is a big part of this update and that’s where Mirabel lives. Some fans are even starting to speculate that Bruno will be in there somewhere too… but we’re not talking about that!
If Olaf gets his own house, it will most likely be something related to the new content in Frosted Heights… or he will just sleep with Elsa for the time being.
“Discovering the Secrets of the Frosted Heights Biome”
As announced in the roadmap, the Frosted Heights biome will be the next bio to be changed, after the Scar’s Kingdom update, let’s revive the Sunlit Highlands.
Looking at the main art of the update, it looks like we’ll be fixing the Pillars in Frosted Heights and be able to access some secret areas that are blocked behind giant stone doors. And are those footprints?
Disney’s 100th Anniversary Star Walkway
We already know that Star Path for February will be themed around Disney’s 100th Anniversary, but we’ll have full Star Path details soon! Until then, here’s what we know will be included:
- Celebrating 100 years of companion rabbits
- Mickey’s 100th Anniversary Costume
- Minnie’s 100th Anniversary Costume
We’re also guessing that the black and white ears the character is wearing in the image are part of Star Path, since they don’t exist in the game.
