Dennis Rodman said that he once nearly committed suicide.
The hitter says the Pearl Jam team saved his life:
“Here’s this song, ‘Black’, hmm, who doesn’t know the song ‘Black’ by this guy and this band and this Pearl Jam band? Who doesn’t love this band on planet earth? Yes maybe the devil, I don’t I don’t I don’t know But he’s not on planet Earth, but he’s, you know, always walking Pearl Jam, my God, I was attracted to these people in in 1991 and, uh, great. I had a bit of a problem in 1993. And oh, I wanted to do that, oh that’s called suicide,” he said in an interview.
“It’s so true. You hear these lyrics, when you hear these lyrics right here. It’s so true. And it’s very similar. [sings] Do-do do doo, Wow. It’s not just the cooler box. It’s like, dammit, it’s like heaven, like it’s like you’ve just flown on cloud 55 or 99 or 110. They saved my life, man. I tried to commit suicide. And for some reason, the voice of love came into my life at that particular time that night, and that was Pearl Jam. And I thank Pearl Jam, because I did it, not the only reason, but the main reason. “
