Some American Express cardholders have started seeing $175 cashback offers for spending $500 or more on Celebrity journeys.
In other words, if you can find a low-cost Celebrity boat ride that adds up to $500 including taxes and fees—and pays with an American Express card—you’ll get 35% back that amount after post transaction.
If you book a $1,000 cruise, a $175 cashback will save you 17.5% — still a substantial amount.

Plus, you can “double” your Celebrity savings with this offer to make it even more lucrative.
The offer can be used in conjunction with a new promotions that Celebrities have launched for the wave season — the period starting in January when cruise lines usually launch the best deals of the year.
Celebrity new wave season promotions, called The annual sale, 75% off the second adult fare when they buy the full adult fare. Additionally, the airline is addressing additional savings of up to $800 in onboard credits per room (based on cruise length and number of passengers in the cabin).
The Semi-Annual Offer is valid through March 1 on most trips departing through April 30, 2025 and leads to some three-night trips costing as little as $168 per person, yet including taxes and fees.

Early Monday, Celebrity touted three, four and seven-night trips on its website as part of a sale starting at $168, $219 and $239 each, excluding taxes and fees .
A targeted Amex cruise promotion
Note that the Amex cashback offer is a targeted promotion, which means not all American Express cardholders will receive it. Additionally, you must sign up for this particular Amex Offer to redeem it.
Other considerations include stipulation that cardholders can only apply for the offer with one American Express card. In addition, the offer is only valid when the cruise booking is made Online, by calling 844-530-3783 or through a travel agent. Reservations must only be made on US websites.

The new Celebrity offer is just one of a number of cruise-related offers that have popped up for American Express cardholders in recent months, even though all previous offers have expired.

To find out if you qualify for the offer, check your American Express card account. If you see the deal, it’s best to add it immediately, as it may disappear. Some offers are capacity controlled.

Also, don’t forget that if you need to fly to or from your cruise port, Amex Tourism will give you 5 points per dollar on flights booked directly with airlines (up to $500,000 for these purchases per calendar year) and 5 points per dollar for prepaid hotels booked on Amex Travel.
