Modern Metroidvania game Dead cells is passing the original Metroidvania game, Castlevania. The BeHeaded will collaborate with Alucard and Richter Belmont in a new expansion call Dead cells return to Castlevania. The expansion has received a animation trailers at The Game Awards 2022, but Nintendo’s latest Live broadcast offered a look at the gameplay. DLC expansion coming out on March 6, 2023

The player controls the Scythe to infiltrate Dracula’s castle. They will cooperate with Richter and Alucard, and gain a lot Castlevania-themed abilities and weapons, such as Ax Throw, Vampire Slayer, etc. Abilities like Alucard’s teleport and cross will also appear. The BeHeaded will take on iconic bosses from Castlevania series like Dracula and Death. The expansion itself added two more environment-themed biomes after locations in the series, and featured new enemies and weapons of original design in addition to those drawn from the series. Motion Twin will sell Dead cells return to Castlevania as a one-time $9.99 purchase for base game owners. For those who just jumped into a base game pack and Castlevania DLC will be sold for $22.99, while the Dead Cells: Melody of Pain Basic game sale package, Back in Castlevania, and all other DLC for $31.99. The expansion launches on March 6, 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
