The Raiders are looking to upset the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, but they will have to do so without Darren Waller.
Waller, the star of Las Vegas, was injured after a catch in the middle of the field. He broke free of his defender and ran onto the field for a 21-yard right, but Cowboys safety Jayron Kearse ran over him from behind.

Waller was finally able to leave the field on his own terms. However, he did not return to the field for the remainder of the drive, even as the Raiders entered the red zone.
The Raiders initially ruled that Waller could return with an injury, but the team ruled him out after halftime.
Before starting, Waller scored two catches from 33 yards to 5 team goals. The Raiders were leading 14-6 at the time of the injury.
Foster Moreau will act as Las Vegas’ No. 1 tight finish if Waller is unable to return to action. Moreau, a former Raiders fourth-round player outside of LSU in 2019, had 11 catches from 132 yards and three touchdowns during the Thanksgiving Day game. His best game of the year was a six-time, 60-yard opener against the Eagles in Week 7; Waller missed that game because of an ankle injury.

In addition to Moreau, third-year player Daniel Helm and rookie Matt Bushman could see more action. Helm is Derek Carr’s target in the red zone due to Waller’s injury. The two can’t connect, as Helm seems to have broken his route while Carr wants to back up to continue it.
