Microsoft announced the first batch of Xbox Game Pass additions and departures in May 2023, and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair among them. This is the Anniversary Edition of the game. This means you can also hear dialogue and see additional artwork, in addition to playing through the adventure as usual. It will disappear on May 15, 2023. This means it appeared on the service just over a year.

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair available on PS4, Switch, Vita, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices worldwide, and leaving Xbox Game Pass on May 15, 2023. It made its debut on the PSP in Japan. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is $14.99 per month and the PC version alone is $9.99 per month.
