CVS Health has selected Rush University Health System to coordinate care for Medicare beneficiaries at Chicagoland MinuteClinic locations, the companies announced Monday.
The responsible care organization division of CVS Health and the Chicago-based health system is participating in the Medicare ACO Equity Implementation, Access and Community Health, or ACO REACH program.
According to the companies, as part of the ACO joint venture, MinuteClinic providers will connect patients with Rush clinicians for primary and specialist care. CVS Health’s ACOs include independent providers, community health medical centers and clinical integrated networks, Mohamed Diab, CEO of the company’s ACO division, said in a statement. .
“Rush’s geographic reach and deep roots in a market are important, and their alignment in ACO REACH’s mission to address equity and health disparities and deliver health value-based care for Medicare [fee-for-service] beneficiaries are additional key reasons we chose Rush,” said Diab. According to the press release, Rush Medicare patients seeking care at MinuteClinic participating locations will also have access to customized care, including in-home services, and transportation assistance. and financial support.
