Talking to Harian MetroHafiz Johari, owner of Rent a dinosaur carsaid he started the car rental business when demand was still high, especially during festive seasons and school holidays.
Hafiz added that he started the new venture with seven partners after his electric company folded during Covid-19, initially supplying his own cars the Perodua Axia and Bezza . “Seeing the potential of this industry, my partners and I didn’t look back and instead expanded our services to include car rental with a driver,” he told the new outlet. .
To cover a wide range of budgets, Dino Car Rental offers six different segments, from rental rates of RM100 per day to RM5,000 per day. “We have six categories: budget, mid-range, luxury, lifestyle, SUV and MPV. Prices range from RM100 per day to RM5,000 per day, with discounts on weekdays for customers who book for seven days,” Hafiz explains.
“During the holiday season, there is demand in all segments, but the most chosen ones are Toyota Vellfire and Toyota Alphard, which have been fully booked since January thanks to their spacious and comfortable design for long trips, especially when traveling. with a large family. and elderly passengers,” he added.
Local cars such as the Bezza, Axia, Myvi and Alza, which are more affordable to rent, are popular with migrants to the city, although there are still customers who choose more luxurious cars. “Some people prioritize style and are willing to pay high prices ranging from RM1,500 to RM5,000 per day to rent luxury cars such as Ford Mustang, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG G63, Porsches and Lamborghinis,” Hafiz said.
“For those working abroad, they often book for longer periods, up to a month, when returning during festivals,” he continued, noting that all buses of Dino Car Rental is fully booked for Hari Raya.
