Pleasant Acres Stallions New Breeding Horse Curlin’s Honor gave birth to his first winner on August 9 when his daughter R Morning Mix won his first race on a muddy sealed track by 4 1/2 lengths Gulfstream Park.

The immediate family has also produced Angel of difference who won the Inaugural Stakes in 2011 Tampa Bay and finished third in the 2012 Carry Back Stakes (G3).
Rivera Training and Sales sold R Morning Brew for $30,000 at the Ocala Breeders 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale to Averill Racing. The mare is now trained by Saffie Joseph Jr. and earned $29,000 for her win.
Curlin’s Honor, a 9-year-old colt of a famous father Curlin is a multiple ranking tournament winner who has competed on dirt, all-weather and grass surfaces. He won on his racing debut in Keeneland‘s main track in 2nd place and then in 3rd place won the Woodstock Stakes in 2018 Honeysuckleall-weather track. He then won the 2019 Artie Schiller Stakes on the grass at Aqueduct Racetrack. He was also runner-up in the King Edward Stakes (G2T) and Ontario Derby (G3), and finished third in four other graded events. He retired with a 5-3-4 record in 17 starts and earnings of $356,545.
This year’s Curlin’s Honor award is worth $2,500.
