It’s lost Texas – a team I’ve held dear for nine months – to take over Nick Saban’s Alabama the team is on the verge of the first loss since the national match to show us the gap between Georgia and the rest of the sport is.

However, after Week 2, there is no doubt that UGA is the sport’s class for the second consecutive week. What remains to be seen is how the teams track Bama and Ohio State rocking throughout this season.

Is Alabama overrated?

RJ Young talks about why Alabama may be facing an unusually tough season, and why the Texas Longhorns could be better than first thought.

1. Georgia (2-0)

Defeat Samford, 33-0

While Stetson Bennett’s The stat line 24 for 34 for 300 yards is worth mentioning, you should note that Dawgs allows only 19 peak yards, 128 yards in total and just one of 13 third point-down conversions against rival FCS their.

2. Alabama (2-0)

Defeated Texas, 20-19

Alabama overtook Texas with 1:29 left to play and needed Bryce Young to perform a Houdini act to avoid an embarrassing loss to the Longhorns.

3. Ohio State (2-0)

Defeated State of Arkansas, 45-12

Last season, Ryan Day let Kyle McCord have a beginning to give CJ Stroud heal after a physical game against Minnesota. Day is the only coach I’ve seen that does that, and it’s smart. There is no need to play the stars in these games if they are defeated. So he sat Julian Fleming and candidate Heisman Jaxon Smith-Njigbaand still beat Red Wolves more than five times TD.

After Notre Dame was stunned by Marshall 26-21 at South Bend, the Buckeyes’ season-opening win has lost its luster. The Irishman paid the Thundering Herd $1.25 million to be awarded an L in our first edition of Money in a Pocket this season on The Number One College Football Show.

Marvin Harrison Jr. catch a touchdown pass from CJ Stroud

Marvin Harrison Jr caught seven 184-yard passes and three touchdowns on Saturday.

4. Kentucky (2-0)

Defeated Florida, 26-16

Mark Stoops edged ahead of Paul “Bear” Bryant for the most wins as a UK head coach in school history by doubling down for Florida for the first time since 1976 and 1977 in consecutive seasons. The Wildcats are now challenging a dominant UGA team for the SEC East title.

5. Michigan (2-0)

Defeated Hawaii, 56-10

It’s hard to judge how well Michigan played against an opponent they were favored to beat 52 and lead 42-0 at halftime. But the Wolverines are a 3-0 win on their non-conference schedule and look like a team capable of defending their Big Ten title.

Even better, it looks like Jim Harbaugh has settle on a midfielderJJ McCarthy.

JJ McCarthy found Roman Wilson

The Michigan Wolverines led Hawaii 7-0 when JJ McCarthy found Roman Wilson on a 42-yard TD pass.

6. Arkansas (2-0)

Defeated South Carolina, 44-30

Arkansas forged the Gamecocks on the ground for 295 yards with 5 rushing TDs.

The Razorbacks look like the team most likely to challenge the Crimson Tide for the SEC West crown, and that’s no small feat. Pit boss Sam Pittman has Arkansas humming and looking like a team capable of competing for the SEC championship.

7. the state of Michigan (2-0)

Defeated Akron, 52-0

The Spartans defeated Akron by a margin they hadn’t defeated since the Eisenhower Administration.

Jalen Berger is becoming the kind of defender I thought he could be when he first arrived in Wisconsin. Against Akron, the transfer hit the rock 17 times in 107 yards. He averaged 7.5 yards per make in two games for Sparta and looks like a worthy successor to the former Spartan great Kenneth Walker III.

8. Clemson (2-0)

Defeated Furman, 35-12

With the previous victory Georgia Tech and Furman, it’s hard to tell how well Dabo Swinney’s Tigers play, but a 2-0 scoreline will certainly help their goals. The tigers’ first real challenge doesn’t come until they play State of North Carolina on October 1st.

9. Oklahoma (2-0)

Defeated Kent State, 33-3

The Sooners are yet to be tested and it may not be until September 24th when they face Kansas State team dismantled Missouri on Saturday. However, the Sooners only allowed 16 points across two games and dropped at least 16 points in 10 of their 13 games in 2021.

The Sooners dropped 35 in just last season’s opening – to Tulane.

ten. USC (2-0)

Beat Stanford, 41-28

USC destroyed their first Pac-12 opponent during the Lincoln Riley era. Now 2-0, the Trojans are proving that they are on the hunt for the crown after winning just four games last season.

Midfielder Caleb Williams completed 20 of 27 341-yard passes for four TDs in his first Pac-12 game.

11. Brigham Young (2-0)

Defeat Baylor, 26-20 in 2OT

After defeating it with a tough Baylor team, the Cougars next head to Eugene to take on Oregon Duck.

twelfth. Baylor (1-1)

Lost to. BYU, 26-20 in 2OT

Baylor missed a goal and an extra point, trailing 366-282 and unable to make any transfers – and still almost pulled off a victory over the hard road.

13. Oklahoma State (2-0)

Defeated State of Arizona, 34-17

Pokes erected 197 yards with Dominic Richardson gain 130 of which on 27 gills. Midfielder Spencer Sanders threw 268 yards, but completed only 21 of the 38 passes.

14. Tennessee (2-0)

Defeated Pittsburgh, 34-27

This is a great win on the road for the Vols in the Johnny Major Classic. Midfielder Hendon Hooker and wide receiver Cedric Tillman are a formidable duo.

Big win for Tennessee

The Tennessee volunteers had a big overtime victory over Pittsburgh News Team 17. RJ Young discusses what this means for both teams moving forward.

15. Minnesota (2-0)

Defeated Western Illinois, 62-10

Minnesota’s non-conference schedule feels as competitive as a man racing against an antique car at the Kansas Highway. But Gophers have an identity and look like Big Tent West class after both Wisconsin and Iowa suffered losses against enemies who did not attend Saturday’s conference.

16. Florida (1-1)

Lost to Kentucky, 26-16

Anthony Richardson showed he still had room to grow, but Gators didn’t leave the game until late in the fourth quarter. It was a formidable opponent they played on Saturday night. Florida is the only Power 5 team to open with two top opponents this season. How is that the power of the schedule?

17. Utah (1-1)

Defeated Southern Utah, 73-7

Utes scored 38 points in the second quarter against their rivals FCS. There’s still a way to the College Rugby Round for them, but they’ll have to perfect the rest and hopefully be able to play against an undefeated opponent in the Pac-12 title game.

18. Mississippi (2-0)

Defeat Central Arkansas, 59-3

Ole Miss managed this defeat without a 200-yard passer, just a 100-yard runner and making four spins. While it’s playing against its first Power 5 opponent of the season next week, it’s Georgia Tech.

We won’t know much about Ole Miss until it hits Kentucky on October 1.

19. State of North Carolina (2-0)

Defeated Charleston Southern, 55-3

After being scared to death by East CarolinaWolfpack seems to have found a foothold against rival FCS.

20. Miami (2-0)

Defeated Miss South, 30-7

Tyler Van Dyke looking more and more like the man many thought he would be in 2022. He completed 21 of 30 passes for 263 yards and once TD in the win.

21. Texas (1-1)

Died to Alabama, 20-19

Texas is a damn good team. Longhorns wing-back Quinn Ewers is 9 to eat 12 out of 134 yards before being eliminated from the game. It’s a serious question as to whether Texas will complete the sadness when Ewers ended the game in a healthy way.

Highlights: Alabama next to Texas

Watch highlights from Alabama’s thrilling 20-19 win over Texas.

22. Texas A&M (1-1)

Lose Appalachian State, 17-14

For the second week in a row, the Aggies failed to run the ball effectively. They didn’t play their third game in Appalachian State territory until the fourth inning and were unable to convincingly throw the ball against a team that had gone 60+ to North Carolina last week.

Maybe it’s time to sound the alarm at College Station.

23. Wake Forest (2-0)

Defeated Vanderbilt, 45-25

Yes, it’s Vandy, but these Commodores are just the underdogs in this game at the start.

With the triumphant return of Sam Hartman, the Demon Deacons look like a team that could compete for the ACC title alongside North Carolina State, Miami and Clemson. Hartman completed 18 of 27 300-yard passes with four TDs.

24. Texas Technology (2-0)

Beat Houston, 33-30 in OT

With starter Tyler Shough out, freshman head coach Joey McGuire handed the keys to the quarterback Donovan Smithand the guy did not disappoint Red Raider fans.

Smith completed 36 of 57 passes for 351 passing yards and one TD to lead the Red Raiders to their first win over a ranked opponent in the McGuire era. Pay attention to the Red Raiders because they, like Kansas(!), will be a problem in the Big 12.

Tech fans flock to the pitch to celebrate the upset

Donovan Smith’s rushed TD in the OT sealed Texas Tech’s 33-30 win over 25 Houston.

25. North Carolina (3-0)

Defeated State of Georgia, 35-28

Tar Heels is 3-0, one of those wins was against an Appalachian State team that beat Texas A&M on Saturday
