Claiborne Farm Announces Stud Fee 2023
The Hancock family Claiborne Ranch has announced the 2023 stud fee for their stallion listing at the Paris, Ky-based ranch.
The list is again led by the War front . This son of Danzig continues to be an elite source of success on the track and in the sales ring, led by 11 stake winners in 2022, including Annapolis recent winner of Coolmore Turf Mile Stakes (G1T) at Keeneland. War Front’s consistency at the highest levels of the sport has few opponents, boasting a lifetime stake winner of 11%. His 2023 stud fee has been set at $100,000.
War Front’s reputation as a stallion continues to grow, and that legacy is extended at Claiborne Farms with the winner of Preakness Stakes (G1) War of Wills , the first weaners will be offered for sale this fall. The 1st grade multiplex winner will be in third year with $25,000.
Champion race horse Blame has emerged as one of North America’s top broodstocks, highlighted by this year’s Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity (G1) in Keeneland, where the winner Forte and runner-up Log in both out of Blame mare. Blame leads all broodstocks as a percentage of winning blacks, blacks and graded horses. In his own right, Blame is responsible for 42 lifetime stake winners, including five 1st grade winners. Claiborne Farm will also win 1st place Art collector after finishing his racing career. A fee has yet to be announced for the Woodward Stakes (G1) winner, who raked in more than $2.3 million on track.
