Resolve is used for professional color work. This is one of the industry standard software that colorists use to feed the final video back to the editor. Black Magic is doing incredible jobs for the industry. They make special cameras and devices, such as the Speed Editor Keyboard or Micro control boardbut they also make powerful, powerful software with tools that Premiere Pro and Final Cut don’t have.

I have edited videos on Premiere and Final Cut. I’ve tried Resolve, but I’m contemplating doing some more research so I know the app is like the others. I think doing editing and color in a single application can save time, reduce errors that can occur with round trips from Premiere to Settlement and back, and provide gives you the edge and skill set of color management in post-production in a highly competitive industry.
