Certain coordinator of the fulfillment of the world title dream
Joe Cordina says he won’t stop at chasing his dream of world championships ahead of his June 4 encounter with IBF featherweight super king Kenichi Ogawa.
Welshman Cordina (14-0.8 KO) will have a home advantage against Ogawa, with the pair meeting at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena live on DAZN.
Ogawa won her IBF belt with a unanimous verdict against Azinga Fuzile in November, while Cordina was last seen more relaxed than Miko Khatchatryan in December.
“I have dedicated my entire life to boxing and to putting myself in this position,” says Cordina. “Now it’s all about this chance, my world champion title.
“It has been my lifelong dream to be a world champion and a stepping stone to securing my family’s future and making all the time missed with them worthwhile.
“I will take this opportunity with both hands; I’m ready to do whatever it takes to win and be crowned the new IBF world featherweight champion. Get ready to see Joe Cordina at his best on fight night as I make my name to the top of the division. ”
