Canon announced EOS R5 OLD, a hybrid camera that blurs the line between a full-frame mirrorless camera and a full Cinema EOS motion camera. Therefore, need a lot of inspiration from R5both inside and out, and borrow professional features from Canon’s Cinema EOS line.

However, there is one significant shortcoming: the R5 C does not offer in-body image stabilization. The R5 C can instead combine electronic stabilization with lens-based stabilization – albeit subject to a small 1.1x crop.
In video mode, you are instead presented with the Cinema EOS menu system that provides most of the features and formats found on professional-grade Cinema EOS cameras — including a variety of features which you don’t have in R5. Thanks to the included fan, the R5 C boasts unlimited recording time in all modes up to 8K/60p, no sensor cropping, including 4K/120p recording at 4:2:2 10-bit color. Dual Pixel CMOS AF is also fully operational in all video modes.
The R5 C is the first non-Cinema EOS camera to feature Cinema RAW Light, as found on EOS C300 Mark III and EOS C500 Mark II. As the name suggests, this format offers a more manageable file size than Cinema RAW, while capturing the full dynamic range of the sensor and providing video data optimized for advanced grading and HDR. Cinema RAW Light offers three quality settings, HQ (high quality), RAW ST (standard quality) and RAW LT (light recording). All three modes are 12-bit. The R5 C can also record 8K videos in MP4 format.
Scheduled to ship in March 2022, the EOS R5 C has an MSRP of $4500.

Small, but mighty
The EOS R5 C can record 8K/60P continuously, without interruption thanks to the active cooling system. 8K video delivers unsurpassed definition and realism with four times the resolution of 4K video, enabling unprecedented possibilities in video expression and highly flexible workflows, such as 4K cropping from footage. 8K movies.

At its core is Canon’s high-speed, high-resolution 45-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, which, combined with the equally impressive DIGIC X image processor, provides users with an ISO range of 100-51200 ; expandable to 102400. Accurate focus and lightning-fast speeds are the foundation of the EOS R5 C, featuring Dual Pixel CMOS AF II and high-speed continuous shooting up to 12 fps (fps) in mode. mechanical shutter speed and up to 20 fps in silent electronic shutter mode.
