Why is Hill’s looking for baby swallows?
The first year of a pet’s “career” – for a puppy or kitten – sets the stage for lifelong health, generally at least 80 percent of the puppy’s growth rate and 90 percent of the growth rate kitten’s head take place during their first twelve months.

What experience is Hill looking for in puppies?
As part of this unique and remote summer internship, Hill’s is looking for a puppy and a kitten to perform the following responsibilities:
- Continue or switch to the new and upgraded Hill’s Scientific diet for puppies or Scientific diet for kittens food to showcase the benefits for their overall development
- Demonstrate a firm commitment to mastering new skills through on-the-job enrichment activities
- Represent the brand with enthusiasm and curiosity through featured posts on social media by pets or pet parents
Is your puppy qualified for the job?
- From nine months old and under
- Value proper nutrition and growth as a puppy or kitten
- Show great interest in Hill’s Science Diet Puppy or Science Diet Kitten’s new formula (whether an existing user or someone looking to switch)
- Have a social media account (pet or pet parent account) and human parent willing to share internship progress on social media during the summer
How much can your puppy earn?
- A $2,500 summer stipend for each selected candidate
- Offer the new Hill’s Science Diet Puppy or the corresponding Hill’s Science Diet Kitten for free, to help promote their growth
- Pawns from KONG include all the essential toys for puppies and kittens to satisfy their need for enrichment and fun
- Amplify the content of pup-tern and kit-tern on Hill’s social channels
