Can this affordable kit lens keep up with a more expensive professional option?

With the release of cameras like EOS R7, Canon has shown they’re dedicated to building an APS-C mirrorless platform alongside their longstanding full-frame camera lineup. If you’re shooting with such a camera and are looking for a kit lens for shooting a variety of situations, check out this great review video comparing the two good options.

Coming to you from Frozen ChristopherThis helpful review video compares Canon RF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM and RF-S 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM Glass. The 24-105mm f/4 L has been my favorite for a long time, as I’m willing to sacrifice an aperture instead of the 24-70mm f/2.8 for more reach in long time. That said, at $1,299, the RF 24-105mm f/4 L isn’t cheap, and it’s worth considering if you’re spending that much on a bulky full frame lens just to mount it on an APS-C body- C is more compact. I was surprised by how good the RF-S 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM performance, and with the additional focal length range at both ends and the significantly lower price tag, it seems like a real winner for Canon’s APS-C shooters. Check out the video above for Frost’s full thoughts on both lenses.
