Caleb Plant listens to opponents who doubt his ability in the ring. After a two-and-a-half-year reign as a super-middleweight champion, Plant entered the match against Canelo Alvarez as a substantial underdog.
However, although it was always suggested that he would be blown away by Alvarez in just a few rounds, Plant still achieved considerable success. The two entwined themselves in front of a large crowd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 6.

With just over two minutes left in round 11, Alvarez landed with his right hand while Plant fought the ropes. The Mexican star will then continue his attack with a left headbutt. The power of the blow immediately gave Plant the first time in his career. While he would have stripped himself off the deck, the natives of Nashville, Tennessee were crumbling to the canvas, thanks to Alvarez’s onslaught.
Although Plant was very pleased with the results, he did not allow the first failure of his career to depress him for long.
